A DIY Parachute, the-paper-that-will-unfold-by-itself trick, invisible ink writing and charades!
DIY parachute had the boys fighting over who gets what spiderman, either red or black. It was a pretty last minute thing as we had only went nearby to the get the stuff in the morning. The girls had some doll thing which had shiny clothes. As expected, the little boys all go "ewwwwww" when I suggested that they have the doll instead of the spiderman. (The spiderman was pretty cool, had lights when you press them at the back. And we didn't know it until the kids started playing with it)
However, the whole parachute thing didn't go so well, due to the parachute' size and we had to quickly moved on to the next activity.
The paper-water thing well pretty well and had the kids quite entertained. Basically, with paper and crayon, I am sure the kids will be entertained for the whole day. KT even had a competition with one of the guys to see whose paper would unfold in the water faster.
Invisible ink is frankly, one of my favorite experiment during my younger days, and proved to be the most popular item we had for the kids today. As we had to heat the invisible ink to see the words clearly, the houseparents kindly lent us an iron and an ironing board. Zhimin promptly showcased his capabilities as a household-husband material by ironing much of the paper. Who knew Zhimin could do that! Ladies, any takers?
Charades was a pretty game, but was hampered by our inability to control the children. Hopefully, the game would be made more fun next time if we can get more manpower to control the children.
Although we had the highest amount of turnout for this session, it was a pity that we didn't get a group-shot due to SunBeam's rule that photography with the children are not allowed. However, we can take photographs of ourselves and I did managed to sneak in this shot of LY. Enjoy.
